As the intense search continues for an escaped inmate with «survival skills» who is suspected of murder, police revealed that he was recently seen on a doorbell camera in Pennsylvania.

Michael Charles Burham, 34, was «at a location south of Warren» when he was seen on a resident’s doorbell camera around 5 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens said Friday. in a press conference. Burham is seen walking into the woods.

Bivens did not share exactly when the surveillance video was taken, but said it was «just in the last few days.»

«Burham was a self-taught survivor with experience in the Military Reserve,» Bivens said. «We believe that he has prepared himself to survive in the forest, as previously reported. Our searches have revealed small caches or camps in forested areas.»

Bivens encouraged residents of northwestern Pennsylvania and western New York to «regularly check their doorbell and surveillance camera footage for anything they think might be helpful to the search.»

“I reiterate that Burham should be considered armed and dangerous and we ask the public to stay away,” Bivens said.

Burham escaped from the Warren County Jail on the night of July 6 using tied-up sheets, sparking a massive multi-agency manhunt and warnings from officials that he is “very dangerous” and not to be approached.

Burham was discovered missing from the jail recreation area early the next morning. He «soared» over some exercise equipment and exited the yard through a metal gate roof, Warren County spokeswoman Cecile Stelter said at a news conference last week. He then used sheets that he tied up to lower to the ground.

He was last seen wearing orange and white striped overalls, a jean jacket and Croc shoes, according to authoritys.

Staff realized Burham was missing minutes after his escape, Stelter said, noting that he was under video surveillance while at the recreation area.

«He is considered dangerous because of his past actions,» he said. «And the public is asked to stay away from it, but if they see anything unusual to call 911.»

A reward of up to $22,000 is being offered for any information leading to Burham’s arrest.

Burham was being held at the jail in connection with a robbery and arson, according to Stelter. He is also charged with kidnapping a Warren County couple and is a suspect in the May 11 murder of Kala Hodgkin of Jamestown, New York.
