Hurricanes troll Devils with New Jersey celebrities congratulating them on beating the team in the playoffs

The Carolina Hurricanes are on their way to the Eastern Conference Finals after an overtime winner in Game 5 against the New Jersey Devils.

The Canes’ fans rejoiced, but the team received congratulations from an unlikely source: some of Jersey’s biggest celebrities.

Shortly after winning the series against the Devils, the Hurricanes posted on social media a montage of Cameo videos of New Jersey celebrities congratulating them on the win and wishing them luck.

People can request personalized video messages from certain celebrities in the app for a fee. It didn’t seem like any of the celebrities knew exactly what was going on, but at least they got paid.

«Great round! Best of luck in your quest for the Cup,» Teresa Guidice of «Real Housewives of New Jersey» said in the video with a smile.

«Good luck in the future. Love from the Jersey Shore,» said MTV star Mike «The Situation» Sorrentino.

Federico Castelluccio and Vincent Curatola of «The Sopranos» also appeared in the video, as did New York Jets superfan Ed Fireman and «Cake Boss» star Mauro Castano.
