ISE: how much Colombia grew in November 2022 – Sectors – Economy

In November 2022, economic activity showed annual growth of 3.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, measured by the Index of Follow-up to the Economy (ISE). With this, so far this year growth is already at 8.1 percent.

This growth rate is lower than that presented in previous months. In August the increase was 8.9 percent annually, in September it was 4.4 percent and in October it was 4.6 percent.

«In the months that are closing the year we see data more similar to those that they exercise before the pandemic arrived,» said the director of Dane, Piedad Urdinola.

The economic activities that contributed the most to growth in November were tertiary, which contributed 2.7 percentage points to the annual variation of the ISE. The secondary schools contributed with 0.9 points and the primaries, with -0.5 points.

The branches that grew the most

By branches, the ones that contributed the most were artistic activities (1.6 points), followed by construction (0.5 points) and manufacturing industries (0.4 points).

The item that grew the most in November was financial and insurance activities, with an increase of 6.5 percent; and the manufacturing industry and construction, with a rise of 5.8 percent.

On the contrary, agricultural activities and mining and quarrying continued to fall for another month, with a decrease of 5.1 percent.
