While the league didn’t give many details, it insisted that no game was compromised by the players’ alleged wagers.
«The gaming policy, which is reviewed annually with all NFL personnel, including players, prohibits any person in the NFL from participating in any form of gaming at any club or facility or venue in the league, including facilities practice,» according to the league.
«A review by the league uncovered no evidence to indicate that any inside information was used or that any game was compromised in any way.»
NFLPA representatives could not immediately be reached for comment Friday.
