An attorney listed as representing her did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prosecutors said Bauer was part of a crowd of supporters of then-President Donald Trump who stormed the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, as Congress formally counted electoral votes affirming Trump’s defeat.

Trump and his supporters had spread lies about the 2020 election, with Trump falsely saying that then-Vice President Mike Pence could stop the process. Pence refused, saying that he did not have the authority to do so.

Bauer also pushed a Washington police officer during a standoff and was physically removed from the area by officers in riot gear, the US attorney’s office said.

Bauer’s attorney advocated for a period of supervision without further incarceration, writing in a sentencing memo that he repents and takes responsibility for his actions and does not pose a threat to society.

Prosecutors asked for 78 months in prison, or 6 1/2 years, according to the government sentencing memorandum.

They argued that Bauer threatened to kill Pelosi of California, the Democratic Speaker of the House at the time, shouting “They are criminals. They need to hang up,” and threatening to hang Pelosi for her name.

In addition to prison time, Bauer was sentenced to 24 months of supervised release and a $2,000 fine, the US attorney’s office said.
